ActionAid works for a world without poverty and injustice in which every person enjoys their right to life with dignity. For the purpose ActionAid engaged in a range of development programs in different areas including Governance, Human security, Child rights protection, Food rights and Women rights. Empowering communities and helping local governments to formulate pro-poor policies and implement development programs are other key areas of ActionAid’s work.
In Afghanistan, ActionAid has initiated an integrated program of community development and policy research in 9 provinces, namely Balkh, Jawzjan, Bamyan, Herat, Ghor, Farah, Nangarhar, Samangan and Kabul.
