The Dutch Committee for Afghanistan – Veterinary Programmes (DCA-VET), a foundation with its headquarters in Lelystad, The Netherlands, is specialised in animal health and production programmes in Afghanistan since 1988. Under its responsibility a veterinary training and support programme is being implemented, with training and support centres presently in Kabul, Mazar-i-Sharif and Herat. Since its inception, more than 20 years ago, the programme has trained over seven hundred paravets who are deployed in different field programmes all over Afghanistan.
