The owners of the company are two gemmologists named Mr. Adam Doost and Mr. Nasim Doost who have 35 years experience in the field of mining and extraction.

ECM was incorporated in Afghanistan as a limited partnership company in January 2006 and started its commercial operations in February 2007. The Company acquired 10 years renewable exclusive mining right from the Government of Afghanistan to mine the White Dove marble quarry located in the town of Chesth-i-Sharif (Heart province).
