Johnson & Phillips started as a small company in London suburb, in 1875, for the manufacturing and sale of telegraph cable and associated equipment. As the use of electricity increased, J&P expanded its activities to meet the need of this new industry. As early as 1905, J&P handled its first large switchboard contract, consisting of 6.6 kV remote control Oil circuit breakers. By 1918, J&P had a complete range of high tension oil circuit breakers and low tension switchboards. Some of the gears supplied by J&P in 1918 are still in operation. Operating in Pakistan since 1948, the company was renamed Johnson & Phillips (Pakistan) Ltd. in 1958, and incorporated as a Public Limited Company, in 1961. As of today J&P’s deep commitment to indigenous technology development makes it one of the few companies in Pakistan to invest heavily in research and development.

J&P’s trading division is involved in indenting, representation and trading activities in many fields, including electrical equipment and projects.

Our trading division has a team of highly experienced professionals, operating from all the major cities of Pakistan. The trading division also has his own representatives stationed in Macedonia, Turkey, Bulgaria, Canada, Austria, United Arab Emirates and liaison offices in many other countries.

J&P represents the manufacturing capabilities of both East and West European firm and promotes their products all over the world. Our projects includes from designing and manufacturing of mechanical and electrical power equipment up to the installation and commissioning.
