Job Description:

The Responsibilities of the Psychosocial counselor:

General Requirements:

  1. Receive cases in needs of psychosocial supports from IDPs Camp, Community, organizations or health facilities.
  2.  To fill all relevant forms related to clients such as Case intake form, authorization letter and consent form
  3. To be tactful and having strong interpersonal skills and communication.
  4. At least 2 years’ experience of work as a clinical psychosocial counselor
  5. Holding psychosocial counselor diploma or psychology degree

Technical Tasks:

  1. Increase IDPs awareness about stress through regular health education and dialogue at community level
  2. Keeping all records confidential
  3. To facilitate IDPs shock affected individual and community with mobile team midwife and nurses.
  4. To work closely with the IDPs and local community to detect shock affected individuals and get into Women Friendly Space to offer counselling or referral assistance.
  5. To conduct a regular follow up of the IDPs and local community GBV victim’s cases refereed out
  6.  To conduct regular M& E visits to the community to identify the IDPs and work with community.
  7. To insure confidentiality including all client records are safe and secure at the Women Friendly Space.
  8. Try best to protect IDPs and local community from further harm.
  9. To assist IDPs  in designing a Safety Plan for life threatening situations
  10. To follow procedures ensuring the confidentiality of the IDPs in Women Friendly Space.
  11.  To provide on job training to psychosocial counselors for the women Friendly Space Clients.
  12. Report on weekly, monthly and quarterly basis and ad hoc to immediate supervisor.
  13. Attend all relevant meetings requested by supervisor relevant to the project goals.
  14. Assist in other duties at the Women Friendly Space, requested by supervisor.
  15. Maintaining close relationship with other partner organizations working with in the districts and provinces.

Job Requirements:

The candidates should have be graduated from Psychology

The candidates should have 2 years working experience in the relavant field.
